Yet another week has gone by............

Last week has flown by in a blur of activities.
Playgroup, Dancing, Little Aths, Scrapbooking, Getting items ready to put in the show, Blood tests, hair cuts, a massages and helping do catering at the school for their 40th reunion...............

Then the high light of the week for the kids was the local SHOW......
They all made some items to put in different sections and luckily enough they all won something.
Chloe won 3rd prize for 3 iced biscuits, a 3rd for her birthday card and a 1st for her scrapbook page………
Georgia won 2nd prize for the jewellery box she made…………
Jasper won a 2nd for the robot man made from tins…………….

I went really well with the items I put in as well.
I won a 1st prize for a scrapbookpage, a 1st and 2nd for off the page items, and a 1st for a decorated Christmas item.
I also got 2 1st’s and 3 2nd’s for some of my photos.

This week Chloe is starting basketball, I hope she enjoys it more than she has the little aths!!!!!!! She is quite good at little aths especially running but there is just no motivation there, she just does not want to do it, so she just does not try, and all we here is how much she hates it……….. Luckily we have not paid the little aths fees yet!!!!
Georgia really enjoys little aths and Jasper has also started this year and he LOVES it. He was so funny last week when he had his first running race, he had no idea that you have to run and try to win, he though that you just run along with everyone else, but he soon got the idea he went as fast as he could and won the next race!!! I think he will be a good runner like Chloe.

2 more weeks of dancing then the concert, the girls love the concert, they love getting their hair and make up done and all the costume changes, not much fun for me though as this year they are in different groups, so when 1 is dancing the other will be getting changed ready for the next dance so I don’t think I will get to see much of the concert at all but hopefully someone will record it.

I had another blood test last week to check platelet levels and they were 63 which is about the same is last time which means they are stable, low but stable. I still do not know any more on the other blood issue but I will deal with that if and when I need to.

I have booked our accommodation for my weekend in SA at the “Riverland Scrapbooking Workshop” Can’t wait to catch up will all the girls, it will be fantastic……………..

Can’t think of much more at this moment.

**{Another Busy Week}**

I am quite tired as I have had a stressful day, but I just wanted to do a quick update on our week.

Monday : We all went to the dentist for check-ups. Jasper, Georgia and Craig's teeth were good, Mine were ok other than the filling that fell out during the previous week which needs to be replaced with a $1300 crown... Oh well it needs to be done and hopefully our health cover will pay for a % of it !!!!!!!
Now poor Chloe has always had heaps of trouble with her teeth so we never know what to expect when we take her for a check up but this time everything was fine, nothing needed to be done but she did a referal to the orthadontist, so I have already made an appointment and she will have her first check up with him at the end of this month.

Tuesday: My baby boy Jasper turned 4. He had a quite morning then in the afternoon we had a small party with a dear friend of mine and her children at her house. It was a fairly quite day but because he had been up since 6am he was in bed at 6.30pm, poor boy the excitment of it was just to much for him....

Wednesday : In the morning Jasper had a birthday party with a few of this friends. It was a nice little group of boys, they all played really well and had a great time.
In the afternoon I had the scrapbooking birthday party, it all went off really well, all the girls (there were 10 of them) were great, they all enjoyed it and want me to do more kids classes with them.

Thursday : Shopping, cleaning and a bit of scrapbooking. Finished a LO for a CJ that I organised with 8 girls in my scrapbooking group. The CJ I had this month is titled "fashin Disasters" my LO is below (the colours did not scan very good, the arrows are really bright pink, not that yuckky pale colour)

Friday : Moved around the girls rooms, they love it when I move their bed from one spot to another, they think it's like getting a new bedroom..

Got a call (at last) from my Dr. in Bendigo with the results from the blood tests I had done in melbourne 3 weeks ago, the results were not good but at least I have some idea of why somethings have happened, I don't want to go into detail at this moment as I am not 100% sure what I am going to do, I need to speak to my Dr and my Ob more, I still really have not got my head around it. The result was sort of what I was hoping for as it gives me answers but at the same time it is not nice to be dignosed with this condition. I will let you all know what it is when I can actually explain it, at the moment I only know half the facts..... I still have the problem with the low platelets but this is something else!!!

The other LO is one I did during the week, sorry its a bad photo but you get the idea.

Will post some birthday photo's at a later date, I am to tired to fight with mr blogger now..............

Friday, October 06, 2006

I was going quite good at this blogging and doing it regularly but its now almost 2 weeks since I up dated.........

Now I need to try and think what has been going on.........

The second week of the school holidays were better than the first LOL I think the kids got all the fighting out of their systems in the first week.
We had a few visits from friends and we went to visit other friends, we had some other friends over for tea and Chloe had a sleep over and that was the second week of the school holidays. I am sure it was a bit more exciting than it sounds but that was just to long ago..............

This week Chloe and Georgia went back to school.
Monday, went to school assembly and then to playgroup.
Tuesday, stayed home then C and G had dancing after school
Wednesday, had a few girls and their children round for our regular scrap morning. After school the Little Aths season started again !!!!!!! We only have a really small club so if all parents help it runs quite smoothly but if only a few help it is a lot of work for those few who do help, so hopefully this year we have lots of helpers. This week we only had a few games and some races because it was just to HOT. It was a total fire ban in our area which is quite scary as it is only the first week of October.
Thursday, went to Bendigo so Jasper could have his plaster off. Luckily we did not have to wait long in the fracture clinic, he had the plaster removed and it was x-rayed. The Dr. said it looked really good so he does not have to even wear a sling if he does not want to. It is a little sore and stiff but I am sure in no time it will be as good as gold.
Friday, today I have swept, moped and vacuumed, done 3 loads of washing and done some dusting so now I may just slack off for for the rest of the day... Mabe try and do some scrapping.......

Next week is going to be busy, we are all having check ups at the dentist on Monday, Tuesday is Jaspers 4th birthday, "Happy Birthday Jappy" , Wednesday I am doing a scrapbooking party for a 10 year olds birthday, there is going to be about 12 kids so it will be quite full on !!!!!!!!!! I have picked a really simple LO for the kids to make, so it should be easy.
Then I have no idea what I am doing for the rest of the week as it is just to far away LOL

Thanks to all the girls who keep asking if I got any more results from my blood tests at the haematologist in Melbourne and my answer is still no, I will ring again today and see if I can find out anything more. I rang my other Dr in Bendigo and he had not heard from the Dr. in Melbourne so I am taking it as a good sign, I think if it was anything bad they would have let me know by now...............
I will let you know when I know.... soon I hope........

Now I am going to do a little plug for

I will add a few LO below. (if the blogger will let me) The Star LO was done as a challenge for RSS, The A boy and a dog Lo came together quickly and I really like how it turned out. The tricky LO was inspired by a LO that I saw some where else, cant remember where so I cant give them any credit..sorry.. The LO with the strips is the example of the LO I am going to get the girls to do at the scrapbooking birthday party.

Well that's all I can think off at the moment but just before I go I must say Hi to BELINDA, hope you are coping ok with no internet !!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

First Week Of School Holidays Gone Already.......

Monday: Stayed home as the kids were fighting like wild animals!!!!!!!!

Tuesday: Same as Monday... Went to my sisters for a quick vist....

Wednesday: Took all my kids and my SIL Hayley and her kids down to Castlemaine to visit my other SIL Raquel. Had a nice day just relaxing and chatting, Raquel and Chris had made a beautiful lunch. Thanks Raquel and Chris xx

Thursday: Went to Melbourne to see the Haematologist. Did not really find out anything I did not already know. As long as my levels stay around 50 and don't go below 20 I will be fine. Had 3 more blood test checking for other things so hopefully they will all come back fine. Have to have more tests in a month to check levels again but until then just try and not think about it.........

Friday: Stayed home and looked after Patrick while Hayley helped out at Health Centre / Playgroup street stall / BBQ. Also managed to do 1 LO before going to bed.

Saturday: Clean up the kids bedrooms and did another LO

Both of these LO are made from kits I got from "scrap needs"

Hopefully doing these kits have bring back my Mojo

Thats all I can think off at the moment as all everyone is scream that they are starving...........

Take care

A few photos from the wedding..............

Just quickly adding a few photos from my brother James wedding on Saturday.

I had a great time, talked lots, drank lots of champagne and danced heaps.

For some reason I did not even get a photo of Craig, myself and the kids alltogether!!!

Just a note to you all, don't spill vodka and rasberry on a $300 dress before you get to the reception!!! I could not believe it, what a dill. At least it looked good in the offical photos. You will notice in the reception photos I am holding the side of my dress, well thats so you don't see the great spill mess. By the end of the night I was not to worried about it LOL

Photo Time.......

For the past couple of years around about this time I go mad taking photo's. Why you may ask, well it is almost " The Charlton show" and I LOVE putting photos in the Photography section. I try to have at least 1 photo in each section. Last year I won the "Aggregate" which means I was the over all winner of the Photography Section. So now that it is September and the show is in October I am out getting all the photo's I can. I need to do some landscapes, rural and animal photos too at some stage.

Here are a few from Yesterday.

I love the one with Jasper and his scooter.

I will not be putting in the one of me and Jap (i just think it is cute)

The "Cheeky Boy" LO was inspired by a LO done by Mardi , (I can't take all the credit, thanks Mardi) It was quick and easy but I love the result.

My Brothers wedding is on tomorrow and the weather is going to be great so thats a bonus.

Till next time

Layout from Kims Class........

Finally got this dam thing to work

Does anyone know the secret to getting photos to load..........

Not much else going on, hoping to have a quiet week. School holidays start this Friday, I can't belive it is almost 4th term, this year has just flown.

Jasper is coping well with the plaster, I think it would take alot more than that to slow him down.

The two other photos are of the kids haveing a dress rehearsal for my brothers wedding on Saturday. (Don't look at their hair, they have not brushed it and Jasper has got a huge scratch across this head!!!)

Till next time

Tagged.....

Thanks Mardi for the tag,

1. Which famous person would you most like to learn that you are descended from??? Someone super cool like Elvis, James Dean or Marilyn Monroe.

2. Which famous person would you hate to learn that you are descended from??? Like most people I would hate to be related to a mass murderer or someone like Bin Laden or Hitler. (My greatgrand parents are german so hopefully I am NOT related to Hitler)

3. If you could be ancestor to any living famous person, who would it be and why? Someone with a large bank balance would be good, as long as they were old and my name was in their will.

4. If you could go back in time and meet any known ancestor(s) of yours, who would it be? My Grandfather on my dads side as he died before I was born and he is the only one of my grandparents I never knew. Everyone tells me he was a lovely man.

5. Tag 5 people:.........Bri, Cindy, Marie, Ngaire and Julie.

I went with a friend to a shoe and clothes party last night and now I am suffering from a bit of a hangover, too many glasses of Champagine and not enough sleep. But I had a great time.

Craig has taken the kids out for a drive so I could have a rest but I thought I should do the tag from Mardi before I forgot about it.

It has been another busy week with 2 trips to Bendigo and we are ment to be going back tomorrow to swimming lessons but I just don't think I can do it, I am just to tired. The first trip down, we went to see my friend who had her baby last Sunday. He was born a month early and weighed only 5lb 3ozs but is doing well and should be home Monday. He is very cute and made me very clucky, but I have been told by the Dr NOT to get pregnant until I get this blood thing worked out.

2nd trip down to Bendigo was so Jasper could have his arm re x-rayed and checked. All was good, the bone was in the correct position so they plastered the whole arm from sholder to wrist. He is not concerned about the plaster, just doing everything as normal including riding his bike!!! With 1 hand!!! He has No Fear!!!

Inter school sports were on yesterday, girls both went well. The weather was yucky, very very cold. luckly the rain held off. I was in such a rush to get there that I forgot the camera again OMG what sort of scrapper am I???

No new news on my blood, I did speak to my Dr in Bendigo and he said he has spoken to the haematologist in Melbourne and he will call me with appointment details (soon hopefully)

I did a on-line class with Kim Archer last Thursday night, it was great, I will upload a pic when I am finished it (its almost done) Checked out yours Mardi, it looks great.

Can't think of anything else much, my Brother is getting married next saturday so we have that to look forward to. Chloe and myself have new frocks to wear, Georgia will wear the dress she wore to the deb ball when Chloe was a flower girl. Jasper has a new shirt and pants and Craig will wear something out of his wardrobe. I will have to post some photos of us all dolled up LOL

Don't even have any new LO to share.

Take care and Talk soon

Cherie xxoo

PS. Must also write how sad it is that Australia has lost another icon with the death of Peter Brock. My hubby just lives and breathes Holdens so he was glued to the TV last night. RIP Peter.

What a way to spend a Friday Evening................

If its not one thing its another.

Friday night while I was cooking tea, Craig and the kids were out on the trampoline, next thing I know eveyone way rushing in and Jasper was crying (not screaming just crying) Craig was shaking his head, OMG this is all we need. We layed him on the couch and tried to get him to move it so we can see if it is broken or not. He would not bend it but he could still move his fingers, so we phone the hospital. No doctor on duty here, they say they will have to get the one on call to come down or we could go to him (65kms away) We phone the "on call" doctors hospital to see if they have an x-ray machine but they don't. They say they could plaster it then send us to a bigger hospital. Oh the joys of country living. So we decide to take him to the Bendigo Hospital. (over an hour away) And to cut a long story short, we leave home at 6.30pm and arrive home 2am the next morning with his arm in plaster.

He broke it just above the elbow. Here are a few photos (taken on my phone) of him waiting to get an x-ray. He was in quite good spirts, very brave. By the time the Dr came to put the plaster on he was sound asleep which made things a lot easier because they could move his arm around without causing him any pain.

Saturday arvo I took out all of the 60 something braids in Chloes hair. It only took over an hour to do because her hair is much thicker than Georgia's. She was not really impressed with us calling her a frizzy lion as you can see by the look on her face LOL.

Sorry photos won't upload

1 more photo of Jasper in a sling.

1 piece of exciting news, my dear friends Kirk and Felicity had a baby boy today. No name as yet as he was a month early. Can't remember the exact weigh but he was 5 pounds something, I was to excited when she rang, all the info just went out of my head. (Bri, do you know his exact weight????)

I still have no new news on my blood. The only thing I know is that I will be going to see a haematologist in Melbourne sometime in the future to discus my options. I must also say a big thank you to Lusi, I came across her blog via Belindas and read that she had the blood disorder as I have. I asked her some questions and she was kind enough to answer them, thanks Lusi, It was so nice to talk to someone who has been through the same thing.

Well thats about all,

Take care and talk soon

Another Quickie................

Here are some photo's of Georgia after I took out the last 20 of her braids from Fiji. Chloe still has hers in, I think it will last another week or so. Georgia was not very happy about hers comming out and Chloes staying in but Georgia's had just gotten to fuzzy. I could not belive how long it took to take them out. It has taken at least 4 hours over the past 3 nights and in the end Craig and Chloe were helping just so I could get it finished.

Nothing much else going on, I have only done 1 LO in the last few days which was a challenge from a scrap store that I visit sometimes.

I am off to see the Dr. tomorrow about my blood, my platelets have gone down to 62. Not sure what will go on next but I hope I get some info tomorrow.

Till next time,
