Another Quickie................

Here are some photo's of Georgia after I took out the last 20 of her braids from Fiji. Chloe still has hers in, I think it will last another week or so. Georgia was not very happy about hers comming out and Chloes staying in but Georgia's had just gotten to fuzzy. I could not belive how long it took to take them out. It has taken at least 4 hours over the past 3 nights and in the end Craig and Chloe were helping just so I could get it finished.

Nothing much else going on, I have only done 1 LO in the last few days which was a challenge from a scrap store that I visit sometimes.

I am off to see the Dr. tomorrow about my blood, my platelets have gone down to 62. Not sure what will go on next but I hope I get some info tomorrow.

Till next time,

Busy Doing Nothing...............

It has been over a week since I blogged and not much has happened.

This year is flying by so quickly, it will be christmas in no time.

I really can't remember what I have done in the past week other than all the usual things a SAHM of 3 kids does.

I had a catch up night on friday night, 7 ladies attened and they all finished some LO they had been working on.

I have done 3 LO's in 3 days thanks to the insperation from Elsie Flannigan new book "52 scrapbooking challenges" I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this book and this girls style, it is quite different to my style but it has just totally inspired me.

Here are the 3 LO's

We have P-4 school sports on this Friday, it will be Georgia's first school sports so she is quite excited. Because she has done little aths she is quite familiar with most of the sports. I have been asked to help out with shotput, I hope I still get a chance to work around and see the girls particpate in some of the sports . Jasper will be there helping me, he will have a ball.

I am going back to have more blood test on Thursday then I go to see the blood Dr. next Tuesday, I am hoping the news will all be good. My platelets have been stable at 115 for the last few weeks so here;s hoping they stay the same.

Here are a few more Fiji photos and a little run down on a few things.

Some of theses are photos from a trip we did to a ECO park, we are all holding Iguana's

There is also some photos from a trip to a local school.

The kids club at the resort runs a weekly trip to a local school so local kids and tourist kids can play together and the tourist can have a look at school lofe on Fiji. This trip was fantastic, the kids were all so friendly, they were fasinated with my digital camera, they could not belive they could see them selves on the back of the camera. They all wanted there photos taken but my battery died just at the wrong time.

SORRY, CAN'T UP LOAD PHOTO'S, i will try tomorrow

If anyone is thinking of going to Fiji I can not recommend the resort we stayed at highly enough, it was just fantastic, so many things to do and all the staff are just so gorgeous, so friendly. A really good family friendly resort. I really want to go back again some time in the future.

The only thing I would do differntly is I would not fly out at 11.30pm, the kids and Craig slept for a few hours on the plane but I did not, so I was awake (other than a 20 min cat nap when we got to the resort) from 7.00am Sunday morning until 8.30pm (fiji time) Monday night. I dont recommend staying awake for that many hours, its just not fun but I survived and after a great nights sleep I was back feeling fit the next day. So if we go again I would try and get a day time flight. Coming home was fine because we left fiji at 6.30pm and got in to melbourne at 10.30pm which ment we were in bed at Craig's sisters just after 12.00 (thanks Raquel)

Well thats about all I can think off and I need to get in and have a shower before "Grey's Anatomy" LOL

Only 3 sleeps to go.......

Only 3 sleeps till we fly out to Fiji, we are all getting very excited....
I have not packed anything yet, I will do it all on Saturday.

Got results back from wednesdays blood test's and my platelet levels have gone down from 230 to 115 in a week and a half. 150 to 275 is normal levels, so it has gone a bit below normal but I have not heard from my Dr so I am taking it is not being something to panic about (yet)
I will have another test in 2 weeks time, hopefully it will not any lower.

Now for something happy.
I was going through some old photos and I came across these.
The first one was is of me and some girls friends on a night out in 1995 (OMG almost 11 years ago)

If you click on it you can get a better view.....

I know Raquel will love these photos.
(those were the days LOL)

Belinda, have you had that baby yet??????

This will be my last post until we get back from FIJI so until then stay safe and I will be intouch when we get back.

My latest addiction is....................

Reading blogs,

I have wasted so much time in the last few day's reading other peoples blogs.
There are so many talented scrapbookers out there, it is just unbelivable.
I just follow links from one scrapper to the next and the next and the next and so on. I am just totally addicted.

I was just reading Cathy Zielske's (one of my fav scrapbookers) blog which I have not checked out for a while and noticed she said she was coming to Australia, does anyone know what she is doing here??? Is she attending or running any workshops or classes??? I would love some info if anyone knows anything.

Trying to get my mojo in gear again, it seems to have run away and I am not sure if it will come back or not, Even running the class last night did not bring it back (how sad is that) I did a LO this morning with a picture of Jasper I have had sitting on my desk of about 3 weeks, it turned out Ok nothing fantastic but its a start. Very simple and very quick.

Jump & Spin

Here are 2 other LO's done a while ago.

I have not taken any photo's since Chloe's B'day 4 weeks ago, so I took a few this morning. Georgia has got one of her friends over for a play ( she is the blond little girl) Chloe did not want to get in any but Georgia and Jasper lined up.

(will add photo's when I can get this blog think to work!!!!!!!!!)

No other exciting new,

Belinda has not had the baby yet. I am thinking of you B and sending you good vibes but you need to have it before we go to Fiji. I won't be able to last the week out without knowing whats going on, so any time this week would be good. LOL

I survived the busy week.

I got through my first back to normal week quite well. Tired, but glad to have a normal routine.

I went back to blood Dr Friday but did not really get many answers. He sent me off to have more blood test. There is some other thing going on with my blood/body that needs more investigation. So I will just have to wait and see what the results are. I have to have a blood test every 2 weeks to keep a check on my platelet levels now that I am finished my course of steriods. I got the results from fridays test and the platelets were up to 200 which was fantastic but now we have to wait and see what happens when the drugs get out of my system.

I got the ok to go to FIJI as long as the platelets don't drop down really low in the next 2 weeks.

We picked up our new car on friday. The Kids are all very excited about it and had to be driven to school on Monday. (they usually go on the bus)

Our Old car.

The new Car.

Wednesday 19th July,

Nothing much going on, had my legs, bikini line and under arms waxed ready for the trip, I will have a colour tomorrow morning and a massage in the arvo so I will feel like a new woman.

I have got a class on Friday night, which should be good, swimming Sunday then next week I am on "meals on wheels" all week so that will keep me busy.

Only 11 sleeps until we fly out to sunny FIJI

Thats all for now.

Take care and talk soon,

ps. Raquel if you read this log in and say Hi :-)

Thank You.......

I just want to start of by saying a big "Thank You" to all you girls who have emailed me, posted comments and sent beautiful flowers, you's are just such a fantastic bunch of friends, the support and love you have sent has made my life that bit more eaiser. Again Thank You from the bottom of my heart. xxxxxxxx

I feel really really well, after feeling so ill for ages (even before i finally fell pregnant) I feel quite guilty that I feel so well. (strange thing to say!!! I know)
The blood specialist told me that I may of had the low platelet levels before I got pregnant and not known about it which would account for my feeling so unwell for so long and now feeling really well. Because at the moment as I am on steriods to keep up the platelet levels. I have a appointment to see him on Friday so I will hopefully know more then. And I hope to get the OK to go to Fiji. If ever our Family needed a break away from things it is now so fingers crossed.

I am trying to get everyone including myself back in to a normal routine,
I went to school assembly and playgroup Monday morning,
I did reading at the school today.
I am having my scrap ladies over tommorrow and then having a hair cut.
Thursday we have got parent teacher interviews, then I am going for an hour long massage.
Friday I will go to Bendigo and see the chiropractor, see the blood specilist and pick up our new car, a KIA Grand Carnival (we ordered it before we lost the baby)
And by Saturday I will need a rest before going back to Bendigo (105km away)on Sunday to take the kids to swimming lessons.
I think this week will quickly get me back to some type of a normal thinking???
Its not that I want to forget all about what has happend, the pain in my heart is still very strong and I am sure it will be for a long time more, its just that I don't want it take over my life.

I have just completed my page's for the Circle Journal I am running with my group of scrapping ladies. There are 8 ladies in the group and this will be the second circle journal I have been involved in and the first I have organised!!!!

I am trying to upload some photo's but it is not working and I am getting tired so I will try to finish tomorrow.

Again Thank you to my Fantastic friends.

Keep safe,

Talk soon

Well where do I begin???

Friday 30th June 2006. :
Had a appointment with the blood specialist but did not get many answers other than that I need to have more test done.

Next I had a appontment with my OB/Gyno after checking usual things he sent us off for another ultrasound ( i knew the news was not going to be good from the look on his face) At the ultrasound it was confirmed that our baby had passed away sometime during the past 2 weeks.

I will not go into to much detail but you all can imagine how we felt. Luckly I have the best hubby in the world who was also heartbroken but was able to call family and a few close frineds and let them know what had happened.

Because my blood platlets were still below 50 the Dr's were unable to treat me in Bendigo so I was sent to Melbournes Royal Womens Hospital, but because it was a Friday night things were going to be put on hold until Monday.

The weekend was just a blur of emotions and a million tears, but the hardest thing we had to do was to tell our other children that the baby had died. I will never ever forget the look in Georgia's eyes. They have asked many questions, some easy to answer and some really hard but we are trying to be as honest as possiable.

Monday passed with still no word from melbourne, at this stage I was really wanting to get it over and done with.

Tuesaday at last some news, I was to be down in Melbourne at 9.00am wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning we arrived in Emergancy (which is where we were told to go) Some how all my records had been lost somewhere between my DR and the hospial which meant I had to have a million more blood test and go for another ultrasound (very stressful) but luckly there was 1 Dr who had been intouch with my Dr so she knew what was going on but she still could not do much as there were no records for her to look back on.

Finally I was admitted and was told that I was booked into theature at 3.3o
The whole situation was made more complicated because I have had 3 caesars and the low platlet count so there was lots of last minuite things going on between the Doctors, blood specialists, theatre staff etc. the procedure went well with no complications and i stayed in over night. (usually it is just a in and out thing)

Friday 7th July:
I feel fine today other than a bit tired.
Mentally and emotionally it will take time but at the moment I feel we are all going a long as good as can be expected. I think that because we have go our Fiji trip coming up in 3 weeks it is giving us someting to focus on and look forward too. We also have brought a new car (KIA Grand Carnival)(we signed the deal before all of this happened) so that is something the kids are looking forward to as well.

I have started a personal journal and have found it to be very helpful, I feel much better after getting all the stuff going round in my head out on to paper, it makes it all seem a bit clearer. (if you know what i mean)

I am sorry if there are spelling mistakes but I can't be bothered going back and checking them (not sure if there is spell check on this or not)

Again thank you all for your support and well wishes over the past week, it has meant a lot to me and my family.

Love to you all

Cherie xxxooo

This post is for Belinda (LOL)

I have nothing exciting to write about the baby other than my Platelet levels went up to 48. Its still quite low and a long way from the normal range but at least it went up and not down again. I will know more when I see the blood specialist on Friday.

35 sleeps until we fly off to sunny FIJI

I am not sure if anyone has heard any reports on these but I have just pre ordered 1 from SCRAPSHOTS (I am still a consultant for them) I am talking a bout a “Cricut” machine. There seems to be a bit of a buzz going on about these at the moment, I think they got some reviews from the Scrapbooking Expo in Brisbane earlier this month. If you have heard anything let me know. You can have a look at them on the web site www.cricut.com

My oldest DD Chloe had her 8th Birthday on Monday 19th. I cannot believe that I have 8 year old, time flies. Below is a photo of her and her friends just before they went to the pictures. Chloe is the one with the black top and army pants. Yes she is very fashion conscience. If it has Roxy, Billabong or Rip Curl on it, it is cool. She had to get some new bikini’s for Fiji and she just had to have Roxy ones but during the middle of winter it is not that easy to get bikini’s but we did find some mambo ones at Skin, Ski and Surf (her favourite shop).
Luckily she still is a little girl at heart she still loves to play with her Bratz Dolls and play dress ups. That keeps me happy because I don’t want her to grow up to quickly.

That all the news for now.
I hope it keeps you happy B. LMAO

Keep safe and happy
