P!NK ROCKED

Chloe and I had a unreal time at the Pink concert... The whole show was just just magic, I can't even say how much we both loved it.

While in Melbourne Chloe and I also indulged in some retail therapy and just basically enjoyed a great mother daughter weekend.

Lots of stuff has been going on,
Jasper and Craig went to see the Crusty Demons two Weeks ago
Georgia has gotten into the North Central badminton under 11's team
Chloe came 6th in the Zone Cross Country (6th out of 100 or more girls)
I have been playing badminton, doing a little bit of scrapbooking, had a layout published in this months UP2SCRAP, I have taken on a position in the committee for our local theatre so now I am in charge of picking the movies we show in the theatre and I'm in charge of posting out and distributing the flyer's/posters.
Started a basic photography course
Miss Velvet and Chloe celebrate their birthdays later this month
Chloe started netball
Jasper started Auskick

That's all I have time for today, I need to attend to my patients, Georgia and Jasper are both home with a cold and sore throats

Another few weeks have passed by in a hurry...

The Kids went back to school after a VERY busy school holidays, the girls are really enjoying badminton and socialising with their friends.

Jasper is very keen for Auskick to start again soon so hopefully he wont have to wait long...

We have had 2 birthday parties.

Chloe and I attended a Twilight party that I organised at our local theatre....It was heaps of fun, we got dressed up and had our faces pale and sparkly, ate red food, drank red drinks and drooled of our favourite Vampires....(yes we are a bit obsessed)

Our school fete is this Friday so I am busy getting stuff ready for that....

Now a few photos...

First week back at school for term 2 Chloe had the house athletic sports at school, she did really well, collecting 1 x first, 4 x seconds and a third... WELL DONE CHLOE

Chloe and Velvet...just adding this coz its cute and just to remind us in the future what a special bond these two have with each other...

At 6 and a 1/2 years old Jasper lost his first 2 teeth... The girls last theirs when they were about 5!!!

Everyone enjoying a walk around Mt Egbert (The Granites)... look how dry and sad it looks, there are so many dead and dying trees... I love taking my children here as its a place I went to a lot as a child, I have lots of good memories of hours spent at the Granites...

Must go to bed so I can get up early, I was very lazy last week and only walked/jogged one morning, I am going to have to push myself extra hard this week to make up for it!

Easter and School Holidays....

The first week of the school holidays have flown by already, we filled in our time by having a play day with our cousins and Great Grandmar on Monday. Tuesday Chloe and Georgia playing badminton, it was Georgia's for the first time, she loved it. Wednesday Chloe and Georgia and 3 of their friends were girl guides for a day, Jasper had a playdate with one of his friends. Thursday I played badminton. Friday we did things around the house. Saturday can't remember...watched DVDs I think. Sunday (easter bunny came) and we went for a picnic and then went to see my Mum and Dad for a while. Monday....not much

Easter bunny is not a big deal in our house but he does does bring someting small for everyone... but only if you have been good....LOL

The photo cracks me up...she looks like she will kill anyone who come to close to HER egg...

Chloe, Georgia and I have been doing a little bit craft and doll making. below are the three dolls we made. I also managed to do a layout too as I had a lovely photo of Velvet and Mar (my grandmar, Velvets great grandmar) that I wanted to scrap... quite pleased with how it turned out....

That's all for now, its almost time to pick up Chloe from badminton.

March Madness....

First a few layouts to share....

The first 3 layouts were done in "cooking with Mardi" over at Kim Archers @ workshop....

And this one was done for the Twilight group over at The Boxx...

I really don't know where the time goes, Velvet has just turned 21 months, and Chloe will be 11 in 3 months time!!!! Where does the days, months and years go...

What have we been up to so far this month...

-Chloe and Georgia had a Football clinic with Essendon Football Club,

-Delivered meals on wheels,

-Kids had school photos,

-Celebrated Nana and Emily's Birthday

-Celebrated the birth of two of my dear friends babies

-Finished Tennis season

-I went to see "the golden age of couture"

-Did some scrapbooking

-Chloe and I fell in love with Edward

-Finished reading the Twilight series and started reading it again

-Watched twilight more times than I can remember

-Baked cakes, slices and Anzac biscuits

-Went out for morning with my girlfriends

-Went to Melbourne and saw Wicked (photos previous post)

-Got published in "for keeps"

-Went to Bendigo and drive more Kms than I really needed to

-Jasper started Reading recovery @ school

-Did all the usual school and home stuff

-Tried to eat healthy and exercise regularly (@6.00am most mornings)

That's all that comes to mind...

"In order to help out these family begin to put their lives back together I have started a scrapbooking plan - called “MEMORY GIFTS”.

I feel for those families in the Victorian regions devasted by fire this week. I can’t help but feel frustrated at the limited amount we are able to do from here to help. I can donate money but I felt the need for something more tangible to be done for those families who have literally lost everything.As scrappers, one of the most important things we deal with on a daily basis are memories. Family memories, memories of loved ones, memories of holidays, birthdays, christenings, bbq’s and days at the beach. These families in Victoria have got no tangible evidence of their lives left. No family photos. No happy snaps. You can replace a fridge, but you can’t replace years of momentos.

Quite simply, I ask each and every one of you who read this blog to donate a 12 x 12inch almost completed scrapbook LO to the “Memory Gifts” program. Each page will be sent to me. I will collect them and bind them, then hand them over to the head of Pastoral Care for the Victorian Catholic Education Office, Maria Kirkwood in Melbourne. It will not be just Catholic families benefiting, it will be anyone who needs it.

Each family devastated by fire will be (in time) given album pages to help them begin their memories again. Those families can then approach their own families for copies of photos to put into the albums, or simply start putting in fresh memories.

If you think you can help, please lave me a comment and I will reply with my postal address so that you can send on your page. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.I plan to have these albums finished by the 20th of March - that gives us a month to get cracking and create as many pages as we can!

If you feel you wish to contribute in some other way, please leave me a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

TOP GEAR LIVE WAS UNREAL........................

Action packed with fireworks, fast cars, stunt drivers, more fireworks, lots of laughs, burning rubber, drifting, motorbike stunts, car football, Jeremy Clarkson..too funny, Richard Hammond...very sweet with puppy dog eyes, Steve Pizzati...top gear Australia's host and of course THE STIG!!!! who only made one appearance at the end which was a bit of a disappointment...

We did get up close to the action as Jeremy came up into the audience and sat in the 2 empty seats in front of us....

On a bit more serious note my heart goes out to all Victorian who have lost their homes or loved ones over the last few days....

46.1 was the top temp here at Charlton and the wind was just unbelievable. We had to stop twice on the way home from Melbourne due to the dust being that bad that we were unable to see a meter ahead of us, I was very happy to arrive home safe and sound to my kids...

My sister had to be evacuated last night from their home in Bendigo.... they are safe and were back in their house before lunch today but there were other people in that area who were not so lucky...

Must run as we are expecting power outages this afternoon...

Lunch in Melbourne and First Day Back at School...

On Sunday we had lunch in Melbourne as it was Craig's Aunty's Surprise 60th birthday party... The lunch was simply delish... above is my SIL Raquel and I at lunch.... (i look 1/2 pissed...but Im not)....
